Food crop productivity data collection methods apply
the direct measurement method to selected tile plots and interview methods with
sample farmers for characteristics such as the use of fertilizers, seeds,
irrigation, pesticides, planting methods and so on. Productivity data
collection must be done correctly because the data produced is used as an
evaluation of development, especially in the food crops sub-sector.
The Ubinan Survey aims to measure the productivity of
food crops in a certain region. The intended productivity is productivity per
hectare (10,000 m2). If the productivity of food crops per hectare is known, it
will be easy to find out the food production of an area. Food crop production
is obtained by multiplying productivity by harvest area. Food crop production,
if analyzed further, can be used to calculate food stocks in a region, as what
is often discussed at this time is rice stock
