Social Service at the Al_Hidayah ODGJ Foundation

Wednesday (12/13/2023) In commemoration of Dharma Wanita Unity Day, DWP BPS OKU Regency held a Social Service event at the Al – Hidayah ODGJ foundation which is located at SP.4 Penilikan Village, Peninjauan District, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency. The assistance provided in the form of basic necessities, clothing and others is a form of caring for others, even for those who suffer from the category of People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ).

The Al – Hidayah Foundation, led by Ustadz Mukhidin/Ustadz Gondrong, is located in the middle of an oil palm plantation and has been established for approximately 9 years, thanks to the sincerity, sincerity and sense of humanity of Ustadz Mukhidin in caring for and healing the ODGJ who are entrusted to it. The remaining ODGJ are now approximately as many as 30 people.

The method used in healing is to use natural methods and treat them like healthy humans in general with various activities to provoke memories such as planting vegetables, hoeing, and even making shelters. Apart from physical activity, ODGJ are also given religious knowledge lessons such as prayer, reciting the Koran, and other activities.

Ustadz Mukhidin revealed that even though it is ready to accommodate ODGJ, Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School still faces economic obstacles in providing food, care and shelter.

It is hoped that the assistance provided by the DWP and OKU Regency BPS employees will be useful so that Ustadz Mukhidin will always be motivated and continue to be enthusiastic in caring for and curing ODGJ patients.
