BPS Deputy for Balance Sheets and Statistical Analysis, Moh. Edy Mahmud released figures for Indonesia's Economic Growth for the Second Quarter of 2024, (5/8). In the second quarter of 2024, the Indonesian economy grew by 5.05 percent (year-on-year) and was supported by relatively good domestic economic activity.

In terms of the business sector, the main contributors to economic growth in the second quarter of 2024 are the manufacturing, construction, trade and information and communication industries. Spatially, the highest growth occurred in the Maluku and Papua regions.
