OKU Regency Regional Inflation Control Meeting 3rd week of October 2024

Monday (21/10). As a member of the OKU Regency Regional Inflation Control Team, OKU Regency BPS has a role in maintaining and improving inflation control in OKU Regency. One of the routine activities carried out by TPID is attending the inflation control coordination meeting held virtually by the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs which was broadcast in the OKU Regency Government Vicon Room. BPS OKU Regency as a member of the TPID Team attended the Virtual Coordination Discussion on Inflation Control in the Regions in 2024 held in the Regional Government Assistant II Room.

The virtual meeting was attended by Assistant II, Head of Service, Head of BUMD and Head of vertical OPD or representative. This routine meeting is held for the purpose of monitoring and controlling prices, especially at the district level. The resource persons for this meeting came from the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, and the Indonesian BPS. The meeting, chaired by the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, discussed the evaluation of developments in commodity prices that influence inflation.

Nationally, IPH districts with the highest price increases reached 4 percent. Based on the Price Development Index for the 3rd week of October 2024, the OKU Regency IPH experienced inflation of 0.07 percent. The commodities that contributed the most to the increase in IPH in OKU Regency were purebred chicken, cayenne pepper and shallots. Nationally, the commodities that experienced the largest price increases were shallots, cooking oil and purebred chicken meat. Regional governments need to be vigilant about these commodities to avoid significant price increases.
