Coordination Meeting of BPS People's Statistics Activities for Districts/Cities South Sumatra

November 5, 2024 | Other Activities

Hello #DataFriends

Tuesday (05/11/2024), the BPS Kesra Team of OKU Regency attended the Coordination Meeting of the BPS People's Welfare Statistics Activities of Regencies/Cities throughout South Sumatra. This activity was held at the BPS office of South Sumatra Province on 5-7 November 2024. In this activity, BPS OKU Regency was represented by the Head of the Kesra Team, Elmafatriza Elisha Ekatama. This coordination meeting discussed the evaluation of the implementation of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) 2024, guidelines for compiling the publication of People's Welfare Statistics, and one of the activities that was the focus of this coordination meeting was the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) 2025.

Susenas is one of the important instruments used by BPS in collecting data on the social and economic conditions of the community. Through Susenas, BPS can identify levels of poverty, inequality, and access to various public services such as education, health, and housing. These data serve as a strong basis for formulating regional development policies.

Overall, the coordination meeting for the activities of the BPS Regency/City people's welfare statistics throughout South Sumatra Province is an important step in ensuring that the statistical data collected is of high quality and can be used as a strong basis for making development decisions. Through this forum, BPS and all related parties can work together to increase understanding and awareness of the importance of statistical data in achieving sustainable and equitable people's welfare.
