Coordination Meeting BPS-KNEKS-Bappenas

BPS with the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS) @kneks.id and the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas @bappenasri held a coordination meeting to discuss support for mapping the sharia economy in Indonesia (22/11). The discussion was led by the Acting Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti and the Executive Director of KNEKS, KH. Sholahudin Al Aiyub. Deputy for Balance Sheet and Statistical Analysis of BPS, Moh. Edy Mahmud also attended the meeting.

The main focus of the discussion was the leading sectors, such as halal food, Muslim-friendly tourism, and sharia-based businesses. KNEKS specifically asked for BPS's support in designing the sharia GDP survey. This collaboration is expected to produce accurate data that can be the basis for formulating policies to strengthen the contribution of the sharia economy to national development.
