BPS of South Sumatra Province has released Official Statistics News on December 2, 2024 regarding the development of Inflation, Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP), Tourism, Transportation, Export Import, and Human Development Index (HDI).

• The Inflation Rate of South Sumatra Province in November 2024 was recorded at 0.58 percent (m-to-m) or 0.73 percent (y-on-y).

• The NTP in November 2024 increased by 1.30 percent compared to the NTP last month, namely from 127.20 to 128.84, while the NTUP increased by 1.77 percent to 130.28.

• Tourism condition indicators such as the number of domestic tourist trips (WISNUS), Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) and Average Length of Stay (RLTM) also showed an increase in November 2024.

• The number of passenger departures and arrivals by air and sea transportation modes was recorded to have decreased in October 2024 when compared to the previous month, while passengers using trains increased by 5.74 percent.

• South Sumatra's trade balance experienced a surplus in October 2024 reaching US$535.44 million.

• The Human Development Index (HDI) of South Sumatra Province in 2024 was 73.84, an increase of 0.90 percent compared to the previous year. The increase in HDI was driven by increases that occurred in all dimensions that form the HDI.
