Monday (13/01/2025), As one of the members of the OKU Regency Regional Inflation Control Team, the OKU Regency BPS has a role in maintaining and improving inflation control in OKU Regency. One of the routine activities carried out by the TPID is attending the inflation control coordination meeting held virtually by the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs which was broadcast in the OKU Regency Government Vicon Room.
The OKU Regency BPS as a member of the TPID Team attended the Virtual Coordination Meeting on Discussion of Inflation Control in the Region in 2025 which was held at the Regency House Guest House. The virtual meeting was attended by the Acting Regent, Head of the Economic Division, Head of the Service, Head of BUMN and Head of Vertical OPD or their representatives. This routine meeting was held in order to monitor and control prices, especially at the district level. The meeting speakers came from the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, and the Indonesian BPS. The meeting, led by the Minister of Home Affairs, discussed the evaluation of commodity price developments that affect inflation.
Based on the Price Development Index for the 2nd week of January 2025, the OKU Regency IPH experienced inflation of 2.63 percent. This value is ranked 7th in South Sumatra and 187th nationally. The commodities that contributed the most to the increase in the OKU Regency IPH were red chilies, cayenne peppers, and oranges. Nationally, the commodities that experienced the largest price increases were red chilies, cayenne peppers, and chicken eggs. The local government needs to be aware of these commodities so that there is no significant increase in prices.
