Abstract

  • In June 2012 South Sumatra's exports reached a value of US $ 406.75 million. The value of South Sumatra's exports in June 2012 changed a decrease of 5.02 percent compared to May 2012. Extended compared to the period of 2011, (June 2011) the exports of South Sumatra Province increased an increase of 2.68 percent.
  • The export value of South Sumatra Province in June 2012 was US $ 406.75 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 42.75 million and US $ 364.00 from non-oil commodity exports. The value of non-oil exports in June 2012 decreased by US $ 20.57 million from May 2012.
  • The United States, China and Malaysia are still the export destinations of South Sumatra, during January - June 2012 reaching US $ 497.99 million, US $ 453.95 million and US $ 445.21 million, by helping the three reach 60,41 percent of total exports in January-June 2012.
  • Exports to the European Union in January - June 2012 reached US $ 253.93 million (10.98 percent of total exports). Exports to the European Union have decreased from the same period in 2011 which reached 447.09 million. While ASEAN exports reached US $ 506.34 million (21.89 percent of total exports) or increased from the same period in 2011 with a value of US $ 481.98 million.
