2013 IBS QUARTER II PRODUCTION GROWTH 3.55 PERCENT OF QUARTER I 2013

• Production growth of the Large Medium Manufacturing Industry of South Sumatra in the second quarter of 2013 rose by 3.55 percent (q-to-q) from the first quarter of 2013. Production growth in this quarter was relatively higher compared to the growth in the previous quarter which was only 2.71 percent.
• Growth in production of the Large Medium Manufacturing Industry from year to year II quarter (y-on-y) grew by 15.90 percent.
• The type of IBS that experienced the highest increase in the second quarter of 2013 (q-to-q) was the Food Industry by 4.13 percent. While the types of Rubber Industry, Rubber and Plastic Goods only experienced a slowdown of -5.32 percent.
• The growth of National Production of Large and Medium Manufacturing in the second quarter of 2013 rose by 1.12 percent (q-to-q) from the first quarter of 2013, while the value of growth (y-on-y) was 6.57 percent.

PRODUCTION GROWTH IN 2013 TRW-II IMK UP 2.10 PERCENT OF TRW – I 2013

• South Sumatra's Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry Production Growth in the second quarter of 2013 rose by 2.10 percent (q-to-q) from the first quarter of 2013. The largest increase was supported by the Food Industry, Other Manufacturing Industries, and the Rubber Industry, Rubber Products and Plastics which have increased above three percent.
• South Sumatra Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry Growth in Quarter II 2013 rose by 4.80 percent (y-on-y). The types of industries that experienced the largest growth of 15.84 percent were the Food Industry, Furniture Industry by 8.09 percent and the Textile Industry 3.80 percent.
