Abstract

  • South Sumatra Province Economic Growth in the second quarter of 2014 (q to q) of 3.2 percent with oil and gas and without oil and gas 3.4 increased compared to the conditions in the first quarter of 2014, while the year-on-year (y on y) economic development experienced growth of 5.4 percent with oil and gas and without oil and gas 6.5 percent.
  • The amount of GRDP at current prices in the second quarter of 2014 reached Rp.63.57 trillion with oil and gas and Rp50.47 trillion without oil and gas, while the GDP at constant 2000 prices in the same quarter was Rp20.00 trillion with oil and gas and without oil and gas Rp.16.60 trillion
  • In the second quarter of 2014, three economic sectors experienced quite high growth (q to q), namely the agriculture sector 8.2 percent, the electricity, gas and clean water sector 4.3 percent and the trade, hotel and restaurant sector grew by 2.7 percent . Meanwhile year on year (y on y) growth was quite high, namely trade, hotel and restaurant sector 9.3 percent, transportation and communication sector grew 8.0 percent and the financial, rental and service sector grew by 7.1 percent
  • In terms of GRDP usage, components with growth (y on y) are quite high, namely the consumption of private non-profit institutions (22.7 percent), imports (10.3 percent), and government consumption (7.4 percent).
  • The highest growth (q to q) occurred in the consumption component of private non-profit institutions which grew by 14.3 percent and government consumption grew 11.5 percent and PMTB and imports grew respectively 5.2 percent.
