Abstract

GROWTH OF MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY GROWTH IN QUARTER III UP BY 2.17 PERCENT COMPARED TO QUARTER II 2014
  • The growth of South Sumatra's Medium Large Manufacturing Industry (IBS) in the Third Quarter of 2014 (q-to-q) was 2.17 percent, an increase compared to the growth in Quarter II of 1.27 percent. While y-on-y production growth in Quarter III of 2014 was 6.17 percent, down compared to growth in Quarter II of 8.08 percent.
  • IBS with the highest growth was the Food Industry by 2.25 percent, while the lowest growth occurred in the Rubber, Rubber and Plastics Industry whose growth slowed by minus 2.12 percent.
  • Nationally, IBS production growth was 2.45 percent (q-to-q) and 4.96 percent (y-on-y).

GROWTH OF SMALL-MANUFACTURING OF MICRO MANUFACTURING IN QUARTER III IN THE MINUS OF 5.64 PERCENT COMPARED TO THE QUARTER II OF 2014
  • South Sumatra's Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry (IMK) Production Growth in the Third Quarter of 2014 was minus 5.64 percent (q-to-q), while the growth of IMK y-on-y production was 6.64 percent.
  • The highest IMK production growth occurred in the Furniture Industry by 7.23 percent, while the lowest production growth was owned by the Rubber Industry, Rubber and Plastic Goods by minus 14.19 percent.
  • South Sumatra's q-to-q IMK production growth was slightly lower than the national growth of minus 3.43 percent, whereas South Sumatra's y-on-y production growth was actually higher than the national growth of 5.18 percent.
