Abstraction
* The city of Palembang in August 2015 experienced inflation of 0.27 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to August is 1.41 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (August 2015 against August 2014) is 7.75 percent.

* The inflation of Palembang City in August 2015 based on expenditure groups, showed that 6 (six) groups experienced an increase in the price index, namely the transportation, communication & financial services group by 0.80 percent; health group by 0.68 percent; clothing group by 0.60 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group of 0.44 percent; education, recreation and sports group by 0.18 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.17 percent. While 1 (one) expenditure group experienced a decrease in the price index, namely the foodstuffs group by -0.36 percent.
* The inflation of Palembang City in August 2015 based on expenditure groups, showed that 6 (six) groups experienced an increase in the price index, namely the transportation, communication & financial services group by 0.80 percent; health group by 0.68 percent; clothing group by 0.60 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group of 0.44 percent; education, recreation and sports group by 0.18 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.17 percent. * Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest share of inflation in Palembang City include air transportation, broiler meat, red chili, chicken eggs, and rice. While commodities that experienced a decline in prices with the highest share of deflation included shallots, wet shrimp, vegetable tomatoes and cork.

* Lubuk Linggau City in August 2015 experienced inflation of 0.49 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to August is 2.53 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (August 2015 against August 2014) is 8.98 percent.

* Based on inflation calculation in Palembang city and Lubuk Linggau city, in August 2015 South Sumatra Province experienced inflation of 0.29 percent, the cumulative inflation rate up to August 2015 was 1.53 percent and the inflation rate was "year on year" (August 2015 to August 2014) was 7.88 percent.
* Based on inflation calculation in Palembang city and Lubuk Linggau city, in August 2015 South Sumatra Province experienced inflation of 0.29 percent, the cumulative inflation rate up to August 2015 was 1.53 percent and the inflation rate was "year on year" (August 2015 to August 2014) was 7.88 percent.

* Commodities that experienced price increases with the highest inflation share in Lubuk Linggau City during August 2015 included: red chili, household fuel, house rent, broiler meat, and broiler eggs. While commodities that experienced a decline in prices with the highest share of deflation included shallots, oranges, free-range chicken meat, kale and beef.

* Based on price monitoring during August 2015 in 82 CPI cities in Indonesia, indicating that 59 cities experienced inflation and 23 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City (2.29 percent), the lowest occurred in the cities of Sumenep, Kediri and Probolinggo (0.02 percent). While the highest deflation occurred in Ambon City (-1.77 percent) and the lowest in Singkawang City (-0.01 percent).
