Abstract

The economy of the Province of South Sumatra in 2016 which is measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) on the basis of current prices reached Rp 355.42 trillion and per capita GRDP reached Rp 43.55 million. ü The economy of the Province of South Sumatra in 2016 grew 5.03 percent compared to 2015 of 4.42 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by electricity and gas procurement of 17.32 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component of 3.02 percent. ü Economy of the Province of South Sumatra in the fourth quarter of 2016 if compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 (y-on-y) grew by 5.15 percent when compared to the same period the previous year of 3.91 percent. ü Economy of the Province of South Sumatra in the fourth quarter of 2016 contracted by 3.26 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, this is caused by seasonal effects that occur in the field of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. In terms of expenditure caused by changes in inventory.
