November 2022 Inflation Year on Year (yoy) Combined 2 CPI Cities in South Sumatra of 5.87 Percent

Abstraction

• In November 2022 there was year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.87 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.36. Yoy inflation in Palembang City was 5.90 percent with a CPI of 112.36 and in Lubuk Linggau City it was 5.58 percent with a CPI of 112.36.

• Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.89 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.22 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.63 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.28 percent; the health group by 2.49 percent; transportation group of 17.14 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 6.73 percent; the education group by 3.85 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.27 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 4.66 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.19 percent.
• The November 2022 month to month (mtm) deflation rate was 0.06 percent and the November 2022 year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 5.43 percent.
• The core component yoy inflation rate for November 2022 was 3.92 percent, mtm inflation was 0.13 percent, and ytd inflation was 3.82 percent.
