Abstract

  • The city of Palembang in June 2011 experienced inflation of 0.65 percent as indicated by an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 125.47 (May 2011) to 126.28 (June 2011), while nationally inflation occurred by 0.55 percent
  • Inflation that occurred in Palembang in June 2011 was due to an increase in CPI in 6 expenditure groups, namely: the foodstuffs group (1.92 percent), the processed food, drinks, cigarettes and tobacco group (0.09 percent), the housing group, water , electricity and fuel (0.15 percent), the clothing group (0.52 percent), the health group (0.08 percent), and the education, recreation and sports group (0.57 percent).
  • Inflasi tahun kalender 2011 di Kota Palembang adalah 0,88 persen, sedangkan inflasi “year on year” (Juni 2011 terhadap Juni 2010) adalah sebesar 5,10 persen.
  • 2011 calendar year inflation in Palembang was 0.88 percent, while year on year inflation (June 2011 to June 2010) was 5.10 percent.
  • Based on monitoring prices in 66 cities in Indonesia shows that 65 cities experienced inflation and only 1 city experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon City (3.76 percent) and the lowest inflation occurred in Padang Sidempuan City (0.04 percent), while deflation only occurred in Tanjung Pinang City (-0.57 percent).
