Abstract
Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) * South Sumatra in February 2012 amounted to 110.38 percent, indicated
that in general the purchasing power of farmers in February 2012 was better than the base year 2007. If
compared to the previous month, the February 2012 NTP rose by 1.13 percent, which was due
the increase in the price index received by farmers is generally greater with the increase in the price index paid
the farmer.
NTP Padi & Palawija in South Sumatra in February 2012 amounted to 124.33 percent, indicating that
paddy and palawija farmers are relatively prosperous compared to the 2007 base year. When compared to the month
previously, the NTP of rice and crops in February 2012 rose by 1.74 percent.
Horticulture NTP in February 2012 amounted to 115.23 percent, meaning the level of welfare of farmers
horticulture is better than the 2007 base year. However, when compared to the previous month, NTP
February's horticulture fell by 0.20 percent.
NTP People's Plantation Plantations (planters) in South Sumatra in February 2012 amounted to 92.59
percent, indicating that planters in South Sumatra are still experiencing a deficit. When compared to
the previous month, the exchange rate of planters in February 2012 increased by 1.56 percent.
Farmer Exchange Rates in South Sumatra in February 2012 amounted to 104.85 percent, indicating that
the welfare level of farmers is relatively better compared to the base year 2007. When compared with
the previous month, the exchange rate of farmers had increased by 0.02 percent.
Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in South Sumatra in February 2012 was 115.25 percent. When
compared to the previous month, the exchange rate of fishermen dropped by 0.48 percent.
Pedesaan Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by households
the farmer. In February 2012 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.02 percent,
mainly due to the rise in the price index of the health group by 0.60 percent.
