Abstract

South Sumatra Province ITK in the third quarter of 2012 amounted to 111.11 meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved compared to the previous quarter. The level of consumer optimism increased compared to quarter II-2012 (ITK value of 108.13), this is reflected in the greater value of ITK in quarter III-2012.
The improvement in consumer economic conditions was driven by increased household income (index value of 112.66), low inflation in relation to daily food consumption (index value of 111.39) and increased consumption of some food and non-food commodities (index value of 106,96).
