Abstract

  • South Sumatra Economic Growth in the second quarter of 2013 (q to q) of 4.1 percent with oil and gas and without oil and gas 4.6 increased compared to the conditions of the first quarter of 2013, while year-on-year (y on y) economic development experienced growth of 6 , 1 percent with oil and gas and without oil and gas 7.2 percent.
  • The amount of GRDP based on current prices in the second quarter of 2013 reached Rp. 56.50 trillion with oil and gas and GRDP without oil and gas Rp. 43.66 trillion, while the GRDP at constant 2000 prices in the same quarter was Rp. 19.00 trillion with oil and gas and without oil and gas Rp.15.61 trillion
  • In the second quarter of 2013, three economic sectors experienced quite high growth (q to q), namely the agriculture sector 14.3 percent, the electricity, gas and clean water sector 4.1 percent and the trade, hotel and restaurant sector grew by 2.4 percent . Meanwhile year on year (y on y) growth was quite high, namely the transportation and communication sector 10.3 percent, the building sector grew 10.0 percent and the financial, rental and service sectors grew by 9.5 percent
  • In terms of GRDP usage, components with growth (y on y) are quite high, namely imports (19.8 percent), PMTDB (16.6 percent), and household consumption (8.3 percent).
  • The highest growth (q to q) occurred in the PMTDB component, which grew by 12.8 percent and government consumption grew by 12.0 percent and imports grew by 7.9 percent.
