Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting in South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang in May 2014 as many as 1,175 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in May 2014 increased by 122.54 percent compared to April 2014.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in May 2014 reached an average of 46.13 percent, or down 2.56 points compared to the ROR of hotels in April 2014 of 48.69 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classifications, it turns out that in May 2014 the ROR for three-star hotels reached 49.99 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at star hotels in South Sumatra in May 2014 reached 1.92 days, an increase of 0.07 days compared to the average length of stay of guests in April 2014. The average length of stay of foreign guests in May 2014 it decreased by 0.68 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in April 2014.
