Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in September 2014 was 1,036 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in September 2014 increased by 31.14 percent compared to August 2014.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in September 2014 reached an average of 47.62 percent, up 1.38 points compared to the August 2014 hotel ROR for 46.24 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in September 2014 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 65.84 percent and was the highest ROR for hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at five-star hotels in South Sumatra in September 2014 reached 1.92 days, a decrease of 0.14 days compared to the average length of stay of guests in August 2014. The average length of stay of foreign guests in September 2014 it also decreased by 0.94 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in August 2014.
