Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) * South Sumatra in July 2011 amounted to 109.54 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in July 2011 was better than the base year 2007. When compared with the previous month, July 2011 NTP fell by 1.28 percent, which was caused by the rise in the index the price paid by farmers is generally greater than the increase in the price index received by farmers.
  • NTP Padi & Palawija in South Sumatra in July 2011 amounted to 121.24 percent, indicating that farmers paddy and secondary crops are relatively prosperous compared to the 2007 base year previously, the NTP of rice and crops in July 2011 fell by 1.37 percent.
  • Horticulture NTP in July 2011 was 116.54 percent, which means the level of welfare of horticultural farmers better than base year 2007. When compared to the previous month, horticultural NTP month July rose by 0.54 percent.
  • The NTP of People's Plantation Plantations (planters) in South Sumatra in July 2011 was 93.16 percent, shows that planters in South Sumatra are still experiencing deficits. When compared to the moon Previously, the exchange rate of farmers in July 2011 decreased 2.64 percent.
