Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in September 2011 amounted to 109.50 percent, shows that in general the purchasing power of farmers in September 2011 was better than the base year of 2007. If compared to the previous month, the September 2011 NTP rose by 0.05 percent, which was due because the increase in the price index received by farmers in general is greater than the increase in the price index paid by farmers.
  • NTP Padi & Palawija in South Sumatra in September 2011 was 121.02 percent, indicating that paddy and secondary farmers are relatively prosperous compared to the 2007 base year. However, when compared with the previous month, the NTP of rice and crops in September 2011 fell by 0.20 percent.
  • Horticulture NTP in September 2011 was 116.28 percent, meaning the level of welfare of farmers horticulture is better than the 2007 base year. However, when compared to the previous month, NTP September horticulture fell by 0.65 percent.
  • The NTP of People's Plantation Plantations (planters) in South Sumatra in September 2011 was 93.42 percent, indicating that planters in South Sumatra are still experiencing a deficit. When compared to the previous month, the exchange rate of planters in September 2011 increased by 0.86 percent.
  • Farmer Exchange Rates in South Sumatra in September 2011 amounted to 104.32 percent, indicated that the level of welfare of farmers is relatively better compared to the base year 2007. When compared with the previous month, the exchange rate of farmers increased by 0.05 percent
  • The Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in South Sumatra in September 2011 was 116.09 percent. When compared to the previous month, the fisherman exchange rate rose by 0.07 percent
  • Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by households the farmer. In September 2011 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.42 percent, mainly due to the increase in the price index of the foodstuffs group by 0.62 percent.
