Abstract

South Sumatra Province ITK in the third quarter of 2011 amounted to 108.96, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter. Seeing the magnitude of the index value (more than 100) the level of consumer optimism also increased compared to quarter II-2011 (ITK value of 105.35).
Improved economic conditions for consumers improved mainly driven by increased household income (ITK value of 111.23), low influence of inflation on daily food consumption (ITK value of 108.94) and increased consumption of food and non-food items (ITK value of 103 , 26).
