Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) * South Sumatra in November 2011 amounted to 109.68 percent, indicated that in general the purchasing power of farmers in November 2011 was better than the base year 2007. If compared to the previous month, the November 2011 NTP rose by 0.16 percent, which was due an increase in the price index received by farmers in general is greater with an increase in the price index paid the farmer.
  • NTP Padi & Palawija in South Sumatra in November 2011 was 122.13 percent, indicating that paddy and palawija farmers are relatively prosperous compared to the 2007 base year. When compared to the month previously, the NTP of rice and crops in November 2011 rose by 0.84 percent.
  • Horticulture NTP in November 2011 was 115.87 percent, meaning the level of welfare of farmers horticulture is better than the 2007 base year. However, when compared to the previous month, NTP November's horticulture fell by 0.41 percent.
  • The NTP of People's Plantation Plantations (planters) in South Sumatra in November 2011 was 92.68 percent, indicating that planters in South Sumatra are still experiencing a deficit. But when compared with the previous month, the exchange rate of planters in November 2011 decreased 0.68 percent.
  • Farmer Exchange Rates in South Sumatra in November 2011 amounted to 104.80 percent, shows that the level of welfare of farmers is relatively better compared to the base year 2007. When compared with the previous month, the exchange rate of farmers had increased by 0.54 percent.
  • The Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in South Sumatra in November 2011 was 116.13 percent. When compared to the previous month, the fisherman exchange rate rose by 0.19 percent.
  • Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by households the farmer. In November 2011, rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.26 percent, mainly due to the increase in the price index of the foodstuffs group by 0.37 percent.
