Abstract
Abstraction
The ITK value of South Sumatra Province in the first quarter of 2015 was 99.97, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers declined from the previous quarter. This level of consumer optimism was lower than in quarter IV-2014 (ITK value of 102.78).
Decreasing household income has a very large effect on the decline in the economic condition of consumers even though consumption levels have increased and inflation has not affected household consumption.
Economic conditions in the second quarter of 2015 are estimated at 106.95, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers are expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is expected to be higher compared to the first quarter of 2015.
The improvement in the condition of the consumer economy in the second quarter of 2015 was estimated due to an increase in consumer income and plans to purchase durable goods, recreation and parties.
