  • The ITK value of South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2015 was 101.97, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers increased from the previous quarter. This level of consumer optimism is higher than the first quarter of 2015 (ITK value of 99.97).
  • The increase in the economic condition of consumers is driven by rising household incomes, the low influence of inflation on the level of consumption and the increased consumption of food and non-food commodities.
  • Economic conditions in the third quarter of 2015 are estimated at 114.41, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers are expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is expected to be higher compared to the second quarter of 2015.
  • The improvement in the condition of the consumer economy in the third quarter of 2015 was estimated due to an increase in consumer income and plans to purchase durable goods, recreation and parties.
