Abstraction
  1. Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in October 2015 amounted to 96.24 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in October 2015 decreased compared to the base year of 2012. However, when compared to the previous month, October 2015 NTP rose by 0 , 54 percent due to the price index received by farmers increased while the price index paid by farmers decreased compared to September 2015.
  2. South Sumatra's Agricultural Business Exchange (NTUP) in October 2015 amounted to 102.37 percent, indicating that in general the farmers' purchasing power in October 2015 was better than the 2012 base year. Likewise when compared to the previous month, October 2015 NTUP rose by 0 , 13 percent.

Based on the NTP and NTUP sub-sector, in October 2015 the sub-sector experienced an increase compared to September 2015, namely the food crop sub-sector, the horticulture crop sub-sector, and the fisheries sub-sector. While the sub-sectors that experienced a decline were the smallholder plantation sub-sector, and the livestock sub-sector
  4. Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farmer households. In October 2015 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced a deflation of 0.51 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced deflation were food expenditure, housing, and transportation and communication.
