Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) * South Sumatra in May 2011 amounted to 111.01 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in May 2011 was better than the base year 2007. When compared with the previous month, May 2011 NTP rose by 0.23 percent, which was due to the increase in the index the price received by farmers in general is greater than the increase in the price index paid by farmers.
  • NTP Padi & Palawija in South Sumatra in May 2011 amounted to 122.22 percent, indicating that farmers paddy and secondary crops are relatively prosperous compared to the 2007 base year previously, the NTP of rice and crops in May 2011 rose by 0.69 percent.
  • Horticulture NTP in May 2011 was 117.54 percent, meaning the level of welfare of horticultural farmers better than the base year 2007. But when compared with the previous month, NTP horticulture in May 2011 it increased by 0.85 percent
  • The NTP of People's Plantation Plantations (planters) in South Sumatra in May 2011 was 95.63 percent, shows that planters in South Sumatra are still experiencing deficits. When compared to the moon Previously, the exchange rate of planters in May 2011 decreased by 0.68 percent.
