Abstract
Cumulative inflation in 2016 and / or inflation "year on year" (December 2016 to December 2015) was 3.68 percent. The city of Palembang in December 2016 based on expenditure groups, showed that 5 (five) groups experienced an increase in the price index, namely the transportation, communication & financial services group of (2.34 percent); foodstuffs group at (1.03 percent); health group by 0.25 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.04 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.03 percent. While 2 (two) expenditure groups experienced a decrease in the price index, namely the clothing group by (-0.35 percent); and the processed food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group by -0.01 percent.
Commodities that experience price increases that cause inflation in Palembang City include: air transportation, broiler eggs, mobile phone credit rates, mujair, chicken meat and white cabbage / cabbage. While commodities that experienced a decline in prices included vegetable tomatoes, gold jewelery, shallots, dencis fish and fruit tomatoes.
Lubuk Linggau City in December 2016 Experienced as Big Inflation (0.11 percent)
Cumulative inflation in 2016 and / or inflation "year on year" (December 2016 to December 2015) is 2.74 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases that caused inflation in Lubuk Linggau City in December 2016 included tilapia, apples, white cabbage / cabbage, balokan wood, long beans and mobile phone and chili chill rates. Province of South Sumatra in December 2016 Experiencing Inflation as Big as (0.61 percent)
This inflation rate is obtained based on inflation calculation in Palembang City and Lubuk Linggau City, in December 2016. Cumulative inflation in 2016 and inflation "year on year" (December 2016 against December 2015) is 3.58 percent.
Based on price monitoring during December 2016 in 82 CPI cities in Indonesia, indicating that 78 CPI cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Lhokseumawe at (2.25 percent), the lowest in the cities of Padangsidimpuan and Tembilahan by (0.02 percent) respectively. Whereas 4 CPI cities experienced deflation, the highest in Manado city at (-1.52 percent), the lowest in Tegal city at (-0.09 percent)
